Song Question:
Child, you are my rebirth

by Trish
(Portland, OR)

I am searching for a song I remember hearing on KINK (Portland, OR) in the 1970's, probably 1974 or later.

It was sung by a solo male with a voice like Kenny Rankin. I don't particularly recall the instrumentation.

The lyrics I do remember go like this:
And I'll be waiting here with open arms
For you and (something something) who bring the joy of love
Bright new light that shines on the Earth
O child, you are my rebirth

That was the chorus.

The song seemed to be dedicated to the singer's future child, as he had "not yet met your mommy."

Does anyone else remember this song?
