not noticing someone

I was trying to find a song as described to me by someone.

It exists as a music video - was on air a year or so ago.

In the music video, the guy talks with a waitress on more than one occasion about relationships that didn't go so well but overlooks that everything he wanted exists in the person he was talking to.

Not sure how accurate the description is, but hopefully it jogs a memory or two.
