Song Question:
Funk - Disco Song from late 70s early 80s

by Dan
(Portland, Oregon, USA)

This song has a high falsetto male lead vocal.

There sounds like a party is going on in the background.

There is some cowbell in it. I don't know the bpm, but it is upbeat. And, there is more synthesizer than guitar.

The lyrics might be something about dancing, or 'groovin' or 'turn me on'.

It isn't the Bee Gees. The music is more funky. But, the vocal is similar in range.

It's not Prince. It's more old school funk.

It's not as polished as Earth, Wind and Fire. But it has a similar style.
