Song Question:
Jazz - pop song late 70's early 80's

by Steve
(Annandale, VA - USA)

Good afternoon,

I heard this song on satellite radio in a bar a few weeks ago.

It was a jazz/pop song I remember when I was younger and I would like to see if I can find it on iTunes or Amazon MP3.

It was released late 70's early 80's. The song has the word "Time" in it. I think it was part of the chorus.

It has a smooth mid-temp beat with a really cool guitar riff.

It's a male singer who sounds a little like Al Stewart ("Year of the Cat"). Although I know it's not him.

It's hard to classify the song because I think it borders on a smooth jazz kind of song.

Thanks for your help!

Found the song!

I found the song! And I was way off base... It has a smooth jazzy sound but it's actually Fleetwood Mac. The name of the song is "Hypnotized". 1973 from the "Mystery to Me" album.

Whey they say "got me hypnotized", I thought they were saying " time".

Oh well, I've been trying to figure this out for at least a year now.

Still searching...

Sherry,

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, it's not "Time" by The Alan Parsons Project.

The song I'm trying to find has a faster beat and there's more guitar. The guitar riff's are a higher pitch.

Could be...
