1990S SONGS The 1990’s was a big departure from the fun of the 1970’s and the 1980’s. Things became more serious which was needed in some ways. This decade didn’t have as many standouts, but it does bring to mind laid back, messy clothing styles, big baggy pants, body piercing, the start of reality shows, environmentalism, pagers, SUV’s, Furby, the Internet, Napster, PlayStation, Pokemon, Doom, Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, Lollapalooza, the Macarena, grunge, techno, hip hop, and alternative rock.
