60s country/rock male or group - you belong to me

by Maria
(Western Australia)

The song seems quite sexist by today's standards: It mentions a woman (wife) sitting at home, reading a book, being told that "you belong to me". Tempo is upbeat, either country or popular music, from the 1950s or 1960s. The lead vocals are sung by a male; could be the lead singer for a group(?) Not the Patti Page/Jo Stafford/The Duprees version.
