60s/70s Song about the ghost of a girl on a pony

The son was released late 60s or v early 70s. It's sung by a man who years ago saw a girl on a pony "heading out to sea". Later he hears about a girl who had been "lost at sea/but that was a hundred years ago." We're left to infer that he's seen a ghost. The song was accompanied by an early b&w music video: an old man in his house, looking out of his window; the girl on her pony etc.
