Find A Song: 50's,60's,70's

by TuMadre
(Salt Lake, Utah)

I heard it on satellite radio this morning and I was half asleep so I don't know if these are the correct lyrics but it's something like "I don't want you anymore,I don't love you that's for sure" or it's "I don't love you anymore, I don't want you thats for sure" It was mid tempo, classic 60's sound but it could be from the 50's. PLEASE please help me, I'm dying to hear it again. Thanks a mil

The Vagabonds

The Vagabonds sang the song, "Salt." My dad had the album in the 60s and we thought the song was very strange.

Lyrics to "SALT"
by: Al

We were cooking up a little stew last night, and the seasoning was not quite right. We deliberated on what was the cause, and decided that it needed salt.

So down we went to the grocery store, without a worry or a care. We asked the man, did he have some salt, and this is what we heard him say.

Salt - who sells salt? In a month I sold neither a box. But over three times a year, there's a salesman comes here, and oi vey - does he sell salt!

Song Title "Salt"
by: Dick Wals

I would like to know if anyone could tell me who
recorded the song "Salt"? When I was a kid growing up in the 50's, my mom had a "78" record
called salt, which was a comical song about someone who went to the store for some salt.

The lyrics started out (as best I can remember):

We were cooking up a little stew last night
and the seasoning was not quite right

So down we went to the grocery store without a moment of delay
We asked the man if he had some salt and he
spoke up in great dismay....
