Find A Song:
(Hair) Metal Song from Early 90s?
These details are from the collective effort of me and a family member who heard this song:
*The only lyrics we remember are "Come along, dippy doo, doo-doo doo-doo-doo." Just because two of us remember these being the lyrics doesn't mean it's right. I've tried searching a billion combinations of words that sound like "come along" or "dippy doo" and have come up empty.
*Additionally, the syllables emphasized (screeched upward) go like this: "come a-LONG! dippy doo, doo-doo doo-doo-DOO!"
*Could only have been released in 1991 or earlier. We heard it a few times on a local radio station (14X Rebel Radio) that only existed from 1990-1991. It's more likely the song came out in 1990 or earlier.
*The song was metal or rock, and I'm thinking probably hair metal. I remember a high-pitched voice, and I'm leaning towards it being a male screeching out hair metal. (The radio station in question only played hard rock/metal/etc.)
*It's not "Come Along" by Salty Dog, but I swore it was that song when I found it. We're totally sure the "dippy doo" part was in the song, that's why it was so funny and became an inside joke. The Salty Dog song doesn't have that part.
Very much appreciated if someone could finally put an end to this. :)
