Find A Song:
Song & Singer

by Sally
(Windsor, United Kingdom)

There was a song from early 1970s, a man singing, (sounds a bit like Neil Diamond)

The lyrics I know are sung very slowly, almost a break between phrases: "I touch her hand, & feel the ring & know this night is all we'll ever have" Then the chorus starts "Suddenly I looked into her sleepy eyes."

Another bit of the lyric is something like "Then I feel my fingers running through her hair" or Then I feel her fingers running through my hair."

Help! I had an old casstte tape (now lost!) so I can't Shazam it or play it to anyone! Also on that tape was Melanie's "Brand New Key", "I am I said" (Neil Diamond) & some glam rock from The Sweet. So that's the era it was from!
