Looking for name/artist of an older, very slow, monotonous ballad. Male deep baritone (R&B?) singer. Subtle clock/metronome marking time in almost nursery rhyme like melody.

Trying to find name and artist of an older song that was often in the radio.

Lead singer is a male deep baritone, song is extremely slow and monotonous (some could even describe as boring?),

mostly piano and what sounds like clock ticking or metronome counting time.

Almost a nursery rhyme like melody to the music.

Also has the word "time" in (first line?) of verse or chorus:

"And tiiiime..." or "As tiiiime.."

Wicked Game by Chris Isaak?
I know he drags out, "And IIIIIIIIIIIII"
and there is definitely piano playing in it. With pieces of guitar music that are loud and stand out kind of like ticking. His voice is also that low voice that lots are looking out.

Barry White
by: Nick R.

It could always be "Can't Get Enough of Your Love Baby" by Barry White, if not I'd probably check other Barry White songs, he mentions time in quite a few of his songs.
