Older song likely from the 70s, sounds like Leon Russell

I don't know how popular this song was since I haven't heard it much, but from what I can remember it seems to be from the 1970s, and I always thought it sounded like Leon Russell type of song but I don't know if it was him or not. It's a full band song (guitars, bass, drums, piano, back-up singers), and I remember it being a pretty up-lifting song. The most distinct thing I remember about it though is that there is a break in the song where all the instruments drop out except for the piano, and the piano is played sparsely, like playing a few notes at a time rather than banging out chords, and during this little break each time the piano plays a few notes the women back-up singers go "woo". It does this piano-then-"woo" thing a few times, then the song comes back in full with the rest of the band again. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
