trying to find a song from the late 70's

by amin

the song is an r n b dance song from probably 1979.

the main feature of the song is the lyrics that are repeated throughout the song, "high, high, higher" these lyrics are sung by several females in beautiful harmony. the song starts with the same lyrics above and it acapella at first, followed by the strong bass line. the song had a very strong bass line. it was a funky dance song. at some point in the song, the following lyrics are sung before the main lyrics listed above, as this, "keep on taking me high, high, high, higher." at another point in the song, i remember lyrics that went something like this, "play on sweet love, play on." the singer or group who sang the song was not hugely famous like rufus, ojays or earth, wind and fire. i think they were a one hit wonder. that's all i can remember. please help.

thank you
