Need help identifying an old song 50/60's - DJ

by Lisa

I've been trying to find a song I heard on a recording my mom had once. I think Wolfman Jack may have played it on his show. These are the only lyrics I can remember; the song had to do with the death of a DJ:

"He wasn't a doctor,
he wasn't a lawyer,
he wasn't a preacher, teacher, engineer or a writer,
He was a DJ, he died today, yes a DJ passed away.
So let the golden songs fill the air,
Maybe he will hear them, in the great somewhere'

I can hear the song clear as a bell in my head, but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks for any help!
